How It Works

Show up. Dig in. Leave a plan.

1:1 with the owner. Walk the floor when we can. Dig the numbers. Teach the structure. Hand you a simple plan to deploy — systems, Weekly Focus, monthly numbers, growth path — not a binder of vanity charts.

After You Write

Path to Week-1

01

You write

City, chairs, revenue band, what you need.

02

Fit reply

Derek confirms fit — or says no cleanly.

03

Data checklist

Booking, payroll, bank / P&L. Clear ask.

04

Week-1 start

Salon Review scheduled once exports land.

1

Qualify & intake

Confirm commission / W-2 intent, roughly $500k–$2.5M, and willingness to share booking, payroll, and bank categories. You get a data checklist. We schedule 1:1 owner time — in person or hybrid — once exports land.

2

Visit & walk the floor

See the salon and the environment. Walk the stations. Feel the culture. Based in New Hampshire — in person in NH / New England when it helps; hybrid elsewhere. Practical suggestions come from what we see — not a remote-only dashboard dump.

3

Dig the numbers & systems

Costs, labor %, pricing architecture, growth-path gaps (promotions on feelings vs written criteria), what’s missing in the operating rhythm. Weekly Focus and how to share monthly staff numbers well. Help you quickly understand what’s going on.

4

Educate & simple deploy plan

Structure education — in the salon when it helps. Memo. Prioritized moves. You leave with an easy 90-day plan: systems, Weekly Focus, monthly numbers, pricing recommendations, growth path — not overwhelming, confusing, or messy.

5

Keep the rhythm (optional)

Monthly Ops, Full Salon Ops, Growth Paths, or Kim Lucas craft/training — only if they fit after the plan. Crisis support available as a secondary add-on when needed.
